Florence Angus, 80, of South Edmeston was
released from this earthly home Sunday, January 24, 2010.
She was born August 9, 1929 in Troy, the
daughter of Charles and Mary Frances (Roberts)
Angus.
Florence had a vast array of careers from
working as an aid at Pathfinder Village to
working along side the head chef at Orchard Hall
in Sauquoit. She was well respected for her
cooking talents.
Florence loved nature and following with her
Indian heritage she walked a road less travel.
Home, to Florence, was deep in the State lands
where she could savor each animal and moment.
Camping only required a sleeping bag, no tents
needed, and while there she could also enjoy
fishing.
Florence loved her family and would share with
them her favorite reading the “Summer Rain
Books”. It was not unusual to receive a call
late in the night after she had reread a passage
from the Summer Rain series.
Her children Carol Moreau of Texas, Barbara Jean
Moreau of Utica, Timothy Moreau of Rome, Amy
Moreau of Forestport, and Kim Barton; 10
grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and her
brother Charles Angus survive her.
Florence was predeceased by two sons Alfred
Moreau Jr., and Joseph Moreau; two brothers
Charles and Richard Angus and four sisters,
Margaret Angus, Doris Angus, Bertha Angus, and
Marion Angus Worrall.
Arrangements by Houk-Johnston-Terry
